About
Eight hours and a raw shoulder
Food Storage Box is a sole proprietorship based in Jaipur, Rajasthan, operating online as Food Storage Box (foodstoragebox.shop).
How this started
A pork shoulder, a charcoal bullet smoker, eight hours on a Jaipur terrace and meat that was still raw in the middle at the end of it. The temperature had been read off a lid gauge that was sitting a full sixty degrees above the grate.
Nothing in the box mentioned that lid thermometers are decorative on almost every smoker sold, or that the number that matters is measured at the meat. One probe would have saved the day and the shoulder.
Nobody smokes badly because they lack a smoker. They smoke badly because they trust the lid gauge.
Our commitment
Fuel and burn time, stated
Charcoal, wood or electric, and roughly how long a full basket holds temperature. That is what decides whether an overnight cook is possible at all.
Vent design described
Intake and exhaust, and how fine the adjustment is. A smoker with a single crude vent cannot be held at 110°C however much you fiddle with it.
Grate area in real numbers
In square centimetres and in racks of ribs, because ‘family size’ is not a measurement anybody can plan a cook around.
Our story
The range is short and covers the three ways people actually smoke here: a charcoal bullet for weekends, a vertical cabinet for volume, and an electric unit for anyone who cannot babysit a fire for six hours.
Every unit is fired here before it is listed — a full cook, not a fifteen-minute burn — because the faults that matter are all thermal: a door that warps, a vent that binds when hot, a gauge that reads sixty degrees out.
Online only
There is no showroom and no walk-in counter. Food Storage Box trades entirely online and ships across India from Jaipur, Rajasthan, which keeps overheads off the price of the goods.
